A Historic Firehouse Garden

One of Denver’s original firehouses in Congress Park was converted into a residence, and this meant a new garden was needed to complement the changes.
One of Denver's original firehouse in Congress Park was converted into a residence, and this meant a new garden was needed to complement the changes. We worked with a landscape architecture firm on the unique styling and installation of this garden. Sandwashed concrete, site walls, and paving create a circular walkway to access the front door from the street. The narrow courtyard is accented with a copper pot with spilling flowers. The whole front yard is surrounded with an eight-foot Cheyenne Privet hedge to provide privacy from the busy public sidewalk and a backdrop for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
