Residential Maintenance Account Manager

The Opportunity

As a Residential Maintenance Account Manager, you will be responsible supervising and coordinating daily landscape maintenance operations required for contracted residential properties, HOA's and more.

  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

Property Management

  • Develop strong professional relationships with homeowners, house managers, property managers, the Designscapes Colorado Maintenance Team and other Designscapes Colorado team members.
  • Understand client needs and find solutions to when problems arise.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular site walk-throughs with clients and schedule site visits with crews to ensure work is performed at a high level.
  • Work with crew(s) to make sure they are aware of the expectations to complete the job on time and on budget.
  • Manage job expenses including labor and materials to meet budget guidelines.

Sales

  • Acquire new maintenance accounts.
  • Research, identify, and deliver new business opportunities with new and existing clients through client relationships, cold calling, referral generation, cross selling and networking.
  • Sell enhancements.
  • Evaluate all revenue generating opportunities with clients
  • Set and meet financial goals.

Snow Removal

  • During winter months when landscaping projects are no longer scheduled, must be available 24/7 to assist in removing snow from various commercial and residential properties.
  • Complete snow removal logs.

Qualifications

Education and experience

  • Two (2) to four (4) year degree in Agronomy or Horticulture.
  • Must have valid driver license and clean MVR.

Specialized knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Knowledge of pesticides and their use.
  • Knowledge of local plants.
  • Knowledge of annual color.
  • Annuals: sales and design.
  • Understand standard landscape maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and controller programming.
  • Water management skills.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must acquire State Pesticide Applicators license within first year of employment.
  • Strong sales abilities.

  • Type of travel: Travel to and from job sites and the office.
  • Percent of Travel: 70%

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reason for Driver's License: Drive company vehicles or personal vehicle from job site to job site.

Moderately undesirable working conditions (i.e. occasional exposure to significant levels of temperature, air pollution, noise pollution, chemical gases and substances; physical trauma conditions of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises and minor burns).  The work schedule varies depending on the weather.  The position is required to work weekends (Sat) or late at night.  The crew should be flexible with availability depending on the needs of the customers.
