Maintenance Team Account Manager

The Opportunity

As a Maintenance Team Account Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of daily landscape maintenance operations, installs and other maintenance request for the assigned properties; these properties include but not limited to commercial/residential sites, Municipalities, HOA’s etc.
  • Horticulture experience needed
  • Company Vehicle, cell phone and laptop

Responsibilities

Property Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial/residential accounts.
    • Develops a strong professional relationship with Account Managers, Irrigation Techs, Maintenance Foreman, and staff to maintain an open line of communication via email, phone or in person and to uphold company standards to grow the Company.
    • Develop close client relationships and a thorough understanding of client needs and find solutions to client issues.
    • Exceed client expectations by providing proactive communication and excellent customer service.
    • Schedule site visits and meet clients regularly to conduct site walk-through to ensure work is performed at a high level.
  • Work with crew (s) to assure they are aware of the expectations to complete the job timely and on budget.
  • Responsible for managing job expenses: labor and materials to meet budget guidelines.

Sales:

  • Acquire new maintenance accounts.
  • Researches, identifies, and delivers profitable business opportunities with new and existing clients through client relationships, cold calling, referral generation, cross selling and networking.
  • Sell enhancements.
  • Evaluate all revenue generating opportunities with clients.
  • Set and meet financial goals.

Snow Removal

  • During winter months when landscaping projects are no longer scheduled, must be available 24/7 to assist in managing snow.
  • Snow removal logs.

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Two (2) to four (4) year degree in Agronomy or Horticulture.
  • Must have valid driver license and clean MVR.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of pesticides and their use.
  • Knowledge of local plants.
  • Knowledge of annual color.
  • Ability to understand standard maintenance practice in landscaping.
  • Irrigation knowledge / Controller Programming.
  • Water management skills.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must acquire State Pesticide applicators license within first year of employment.
  • Self-motivated multi-tasking, strong communication and organization skills.
  • Strong sales abilities
  • Bilingual a plus.
