Oscar Chacon has been an esteemed member of the Designscapes Colorado team since 2003, bringing 26 years of extensive experience in the green industry. As the Commercial Construction Superintendent, Oscar's responsibilities are vast and integral to the success of our projects. His duties primarily include site supervision, client communication, plan execution, plant procurement, material ordering, problem-solving, efficient irrigation practices, stormwater management permit submittals, training and development of crew members, ensuring safe work sites, adhering to schedules and budgets, documentation of change orders, and supporting the Project Management and Estimating goals for each project.

Oscar's commitment to relationships is paramount. As a representative of Designscapes Colorado, he seizes each day as an opportunity to deliver his best work. Dedicated to the success of his team, department, and company, Oscar's creative eye ensures that every detail reflects the high standards he upholds. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Oscar has leveraged his bilingual skills to enhance communication and collaboration within the team and with clients. His self-taught proficiency in English stands as a testament to his belief that with determination, anything is possible. Throughout his tenure, Oscar has overseen the installation of several award-winning projects, earning recognition for their type, quality, and high level of craftsmanship. His inspiration to join the green industry stemmed from his innate ability to work with his hands, his creativity, and his love for the outdoors. For Oscar, the reward lies in stepping back at the end of the day to admire what has been created and accomplished.

Outside of work, Oscar is an avid team roper. He loves horses and embraces the "cowboy way of life", which instills in him a strong work ethic and values that he holds close to his heart. Oscar strives to impart these values to his boys, teaching them the importance of hard work, doing things the "right way," and being men of their word. Additionally, Oscar loves to cook and enjoys sharing time with his family and friends over good food. This passion for cooking and camaraderie further enriches his personal life, making him a well-rounded and dedicated individual both on and off the job.
