Designscapes Colorado Renovates Commerce City's First All-inclusive Playground
Veterans Memorial Park is now Commerce City's first all-inclusive playground. The 2.6-acre site includes a nature play area and all-inclusive playground areas for 2-5 year-olds and 5-12 year-olds, picnic tables and shade structures, a labyrinth for reflection and meditation and more.
An all-inclusive playground provides a safe place where children of all abilities can play together and have a sensory rich experience.

Since 1971, the park has been an important gathering space for the residents of the community. Mayor Benjamin Huseman of Commerce city said to YourHub, a local and community news around the Denver Metro Area, that "The grand opening celebrates not only the completion of renovations to Veterans Memorial Park, but is home to the first all-inclusive playground in Commerce City. This park provides outdoor play opportunities for youth of all abilities and is an investment in their future."
