Channel 7: Terrariums

Need a quick, creative, and personal present that is inexpensive for the gardener or nature lover? A terrarium might be just the gift! Terrariums are great displays of plants and nature. These are a great way to bring nature indoors.

Materials Needed:

  • Glass container
  • Plants
  • Potting Soil
  • Stones for bottom of terrarium

Steps:

  • Put stones on bottom of container
  • Fill container approximately 1/2 full with soil
  • Plant plants in the soil
  • Water plants
  • Put in moderate sunlight

Care:

Water when the soil is dry.  If there is visible sitting water, do not water and allow to dry.
