One of the hot topics is becoming more water-wise. As you’ve heard many of us in the industry say before, this does not mean you have to have a yard full of rock.
Phil will discuss tips that can help you plant a garden or landscape that requires very little water after establishment.
Here are some helpful tips to help create water-efficient landscape:
- Have a plan/design before you plant
- Select the appropriate plants that need less water
- Reduce your turf areas or consider an alternate type than Kentucky Bluegrass
- Mow your lawn higher and less often
- Improve your soil
- Mulch your beds
- Irrigate efficiently
- Capture rain and snow runoff
- Maintain your garden properly
