Arvada’s “This Old Yard”
Water-wise landscaping is not only water efficient — it can also be absolutely beautiful! To encourage Arvadans to convert at least a portion of their yard to a water-wise landscape, and to educate the public on both the techniques and the joys of water-wise landscaping, the City of Arvada conducted a contest called “This Old Yard.” Selected participants received financial investment in their property to design a new landscape, providing plant materials, helping with installation, and more.
