The Opportunity

We are looking for an individual that has the enthusiasm, drive and ambition to assist one of our Senior Landscape Designers in the design, presentation and sale of landscape designs. This is a great opportunity for someone that is organized with great communication skills.  The ideal candidate would be capable of doing base maps, measuring properties and taking direction in order to assist with the design process, someone that enjoys working outdoors and indoors and be able to adapt to the on going changes within landscape design.

This is an hourly position with full benefits:
  • Two (2) weeks paid vacation accrued, after five (5) years increases to three (3) weeks
  • Forty-eight (48) paid sick time

Responsibilities

Design / Business Development:
• Assist Landscape Designers in any part of design/build process.
• Conducts site analysis, take pictures and prepare base maps.
• Meet with Designer clients; design landscape plans & render.
• Do quantity take-offs and prepare estimates. Make revisions as necessary.
• Assist with Change Order preparation.
• Assist with professional correspondence with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare 3D plans for presentations when needed. Make revisions as necessary.
• Create presentation boards with the Designers.
• Assist in sales support development.
• Build relationships to promote sales for company.

Project Management:
• Assist landscape designers with projects to ensure client satisfaction and project.

Training & Education:
• Assist Production Team with training classes and programs.
• Develop graphic techniques through hand and computer techniques.

Warranty Work:
• Respond to client concerns regarding plant or product failure.
• Coordinate replacement with Project Manager and Foremen.

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design.
• Must have valid driver license and clean MVR.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: This position requires a broad range of skills and responsibilities which include:
• Creative design aesthetic.
• Comfortable with selling landscape designs/concepts.
• AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Rhino and DynaSCAPE knowledge a plus.
• Understanding of construction process and best practices.
• Graphic design, layout, creativity, flexibility, attention to detail, deadline-oriented skills.
• Client management.
• Project construction supervision.
• Knowledge of Colorado plant material, and annuals (preferred).
• Hand rendering and hand drawing.
