Charlene Chacon has been an integral part of Designscapes Colorado for an impressive 23 years, contributing to a total of 29 years of distinguished experience in the green industry. Beginning her journey as a Landscape Technician, Charlene has ascended to the esteemed position of Residential Construction Team Manager. In this pivotal role, she adeptly guides the sales and production teams in achieving their budgeted financial goals, all while ensuring that clients enjoy exceptional experiences with their landscape installations and improvements.

Charlene’s academic credentials are robust; she holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with a concentration in Business Management. Her commitment to professional excellence is further evidenced by her certifications, including the GreenCO BMP and ALCC SLM certifications. Demonstrating her dedication to continual growth, Charlene is currently pursuing a Women's Leadership Program Certificate from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and is on track to obtain a Business Manager Certification through the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) within the next year.

One of Charlene’s greatest joys in her role is the opportunity to support and mentor other professionals within the industry. She has been instrumental in fostering a dynamic and inclusive company culture at Designscapes Colorado, one that empowers team members to embrace continuous learning, individual growth, and collective innovation in the creation of outstanding landscapes. Her leadership has been key in encouraging creative solutions and cultivating an environment where excellence is the norm.

Charlene is deeply committed to addressing and overcoming the gender disparities within the green industry, where women currently represent only about 10% of the workforce. Through her active involvement in Designscapes Colorado and the ALCC's Women in Green initiatives, she strives to increase female representation in this rewarding field. Charlene is immensely proud of the progress being made to attract, elevate, and inspire more women to pursue careers in the green industry.
