Elk Ridge Park Featured in Landscape Architect & Specifier News

Elk Ridge Park was just featured in the Landscape Architect and Specifier News in the March 2012 edition!  This seven page spread looks incredible.  You should read it – it highlights the Landscape Architecture by Design Concepts and the landscape contracting by Designscapes Colorado’s commercial construction division.

As I mentioned in my blog last week, this is a new park that opened last year in Castle Pines.  Elk Ridge Park covers 15 acres of recreational and open space and is Castle Pine’s first city park.

Designscapes Colorado installed this park in 2011 and has recently been awarded two awards for the park construction and the wall construction at the park’s promenade by the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC).

Tom Brownfield, the Commercial Construction Manager of Designscapes Colorado commented that “Elk Ridge is an example of cutting edge park construction, in that its recreational amenities are reflective of their natural place and of the people who use them.”

This is one of the Denver metro area’s most spectacular public parks.  Add this to calendar of things to do this summer!
